LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Thrift stores may have seen increased foot traffic Sunday for National Thrift Shop Day.

Local locations like Volunteers of America on Lansing’s west side, celebrated in several ways.

Customers could receive at least 25% off throughout the entire store, and additional discounts. Plus, loyalty members had the chance to earn double points.

Some popular items bought in store were back-to-school supplies and outfits, and fall and Halloween decorations.

Store managers expressed how thrifting has several benefits.
