USA Softball is back on top at the World Games.
After a pair of hard-fought wins on Sunday at the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China, USA Softball won its fourth consecutive World Games gold medal.
USA Softball first defeated Japan, 7-6, in 10 innings before taking down Chinese Taipei, 5-0, in the gold medal game. In both contests and throughout the event, a handful of Athletes Unlimited Softball League stars played crucial roles.
Pitcher Megan Faraimo, who pitched for the AUSL champion Talons during the league’s inaugural season in 2025, tossed a shutout in the gold medal game, allowing just three hits and one walk while striking out 10. Talons teammate Sahvanna Jaquish homered to back Faraimo, as did Bandits star Skylar Wallace.
