School administrators within Menard County reportedly handed out 43 suspensions during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Illinois Report Card .

In total, there were 43 disciplinary actions recorded during the school year, representing an average of less than 0.1 actions per student in the county.

Among the seven schools in the county, Porta High School reported the highest number of disciplinary actions at the time, with a total of 22—or 51.2% of all incidents countywide.

There were 29 disciplinary incidents involving male students. Another 14 incidents involved female students.

Of all suspensions issued in the Menard County schools, 16 involved elementary or middle school students, while 27 involved high school students.
