Holocaust survivor Allan Hall will speak during a brotherhood event at 7 p.m. Aug. 19 at Congregation Mishkan Or at 26000 Shaker Blvd. Beachwood.
Hall, 90, is a lawyer, political activist, educator and builder. Also a nationally recognized Holocaust speaker, Hall’s memoir, “Hiding in Plain Sight,” tells his experience surviving the Holocaust.
Born in Krakow, Poland, in 1935, Hall and his family went into hiding when he was a child, spending two years in a building occupied by the Luftwaffe. One of the few children to escape, he later immigrated to the U.S. and went on to build his career and family.
Refreshments will be served following the program.
