Ihold the original Mass Effect trilogy in very high esteem, even with its frequently derided ending. BioWare's science fiction epics are collectively among the greatest games ever made , but for all their triumphs as character-driven RPGs, I also look back fondly on Mass Effect 3 's multiplayer. While the horde mode was clearly tacked on, it was surprisingly engaging with a satisfying difficulty curve and meaningful character building. Its relative simplicity is obvious, though, and I'm convinced it could be so much more.
The idea behind Mass Effect 3 's multiplayer is fairly straightforward: four players cooperatively act as a squad engaged in the Reaper War , completing objectives and fighting waves of enemies from the Reaper, Cerberus, Geth, and Collector factions. New ch
