HARTFORD, Conn. — While Connecticut's political parties may be divided over who they want to be the next governor, the goal to potentially reduce health insurance hikes crosses party lines.

On Aug. 18, the state’s insurance department will decide what an increase will look like after a hike proposal from the seven insurers:

Anthem Health Plans

CTCare Benefits Inc.

ConnectiCare Insurance Company, Inc.

CTCare Inc.

Oxford Health Plans (CT), Inc.

Oxford Health Insurance, Inc.

UnitedHealthcare Insurance Co.
