A South Boston woman who said she suffered a brain bleed after a bar’s taxidermy deer decor struck her head is suing the bar’s owner, according to a lawsuit filed in Suffolk County Superior Court.

Kathryn Hally was at Lucky’s Lounge on Oct. 22, 2022 when she was allegedly hit in the head by a taxidermized deer head after it became dislodged from the wall, the complaint, filed Aug. 11, states.

The complaint said the deer head was “negligently installed and/or maintained.”

Hally said she suffered a concussion, a brain bleed, and post-concussive symptoms for “months” after the incident, according to a cover sheet.

She is seeking $171,159.23 from the bar for hospital expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering, the cover sheet said.
