WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Six local bands performed at the Backyard Bar Stage & Grill for a concert that raised money for Hill Country flooding victims.

News 10’s Gordon Collier said it was an easy decision for the Gordon Collier Band to perform at the benefit.

“He didn’t even finish his sentence and I said ‘Yeah we’ll do it,’” Collier said. “‘Of course we’ll do it.’ Because I think as musicians we have an obligation to give back. And musicians have big hearts and small wallets. And they always want to do something to help, so what do they do? They put together a show like that.”

He performed a song for his longtime friend, Pat Green, who lost his younger brother in the Hill Country flooding.
