The Better Business Bureau and Rockford Public Library are teaming up to host a series of free forums aimed at protecting consumers and supporting small businesses.
The forums, titled "Smart Choices: Consumer Education for Everyday Life," will bring together experts from the BBB, the library and other consumer advocacy organizations to provide information and tools to help residents recognize deceptive tactics, make informed financial decisions and identify trustworthy businesses, according to a community announcement.
