KENTWOOD, Mich. — A pedestrian was killed Sunday night when he was hit by a vehicle in Kentwood, according to police.

The incident happened along Eastern Avenue SE near Hardwick Drive around 9:30 p.m. A 58-year-old Kentwood man had been walking on Eastern Avenue SE when he was hit by a northbound vehicle, police say.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
