A 61-year-old man has been charged in a stabbing death inside the suspect's apartment on Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville, according to police.

Timothy Scarbrough called 911 on Aug. 16, and officers arrived at about 8:30 p.m., and found a man had died there.

The man couldn't be immediately identified because of the trauma sustained, police said.

Police say Scarbrough told them the two men had been drinking and doing drugs all day. Scarbrough told detectives he believed the man was stealing the drugs and reselling them to Scarbrough.

Police say Scarbrough told them he left the apartment at about 6 p.m., and found the man dead when he returned.

Scarbrough was jailed on $200,000 bond. The medical examiner will work to identify the man who died.
