Juanette Joy Baysa, 79, of Hilo died May 6. Born in California, she had a fine arts degree from Fresno State University, was founder of the graphic design business J.B. Designworks, worked for other art and clothing companies, student with Halau Ka Pa Hula Hawai‘i, co-founded a Polynesian dance troupe in Fresno that continues. Celebration of life noon-3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, at Onekahakaha Beach Park in Hilo. No flowers, donations may be made to Paradise Ponies Inc., P.O. Box 1030, Kurtistown HI 96760. Survived by sisters, Jeanette (Katherine) Baysa and Joannette (Don) Baysa Fong, two nieces, a grandniece, aunts, cousins and godchildren. Arrangements by Ballard Family Mortuary.
