FARGO — Going into next year, the Fargo Park District plans to keep the property tax rate steady for local households.

As part of its $41.7 million preliminary budget for 2026, park district officials plan to drop property taxes by 0.05 mills while presenting a budget that’s grown by 8.5% over last year.

The Park District anticipates bringing in $422,000 in additional revenue from programs, rentals and service fees next year, and state and federal funding is poised to rise by $820,000. That increased income from other sources will allow the Park District to drop the property tax rate from 35.58 mills in 2025 to 35.53 mills in 2026.
