CARTER COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A Williamsville, Missouri, woman was killed and four other people were hurt in a crash over the weekend in Carter County.

Emergency crews were called around 2:12 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 60, about a quarter-mile east of Van Buren.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 61-year-old Williamsville woman failed to yield her car to an oncoming pickup truck on U.S. 60.

The truck hit the car and both vehicles reportedly crossed the center of the road and ended up off the left side of the road.

MSHP said the driver of the car was taken to a Poplar Bluff hospital, where she later died.

Troopers said a passenger in the car, a 63-year-old High Ridge, Mo. woman, was flown to a Cape Girardeau hospital with minor injuries.
