President Donald Trump is hosting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and key European leaders at the White House Monday to discuss U.S. security guarantees for Ukraine and potential land concessions following a high-stakes meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin last week.

After meeting with Putin in Alaska Friday, President Trump now appears focused on brokering a peace agreement , backing away from demands for a ceasefire deal , which could allow Russia to take more Ukrainian land.
