Several more Mariano's grocery stores closed in Illinois this month following parent company Kroger's plans to shutter dozens of locations across the country.

Still more are expected to follow — not only in Illinois, but also in Georgia, Tennessee, West Virginia and Virginia, according to USA TODAY .

Mariano's locations closing in Illinois

The following Illinois locations already permanently shut their doors this month:

Bloomingdale: 144 S Gary Ave., closed on Aug. 15

Buffalo Grove: 450 W Half Day Rd., closed on Aug. 8

The following location is also expected to shut down soon, according to company spokesperson Amanda Puck:

Northbrook: 2323 Capital Dr.; closing by Aug. 22
