TREMONTON — Two police officers were shot and killed, and a deputy and K-9 were injured while responding to a domestic disturbance in Tremonton late Sunday.

An officer from Tremonton Garland Police responded to several hang-up calls from a residence near 700 North and 200 East about 9 p.m., according to a news release from Brigham City Police. The officer spoke to a resident about an apparent domestic dispute when a man with a gun emerged from the home and fatally shot the officer. A second officer who arrived to assist was also fatally shot.
