BANGOR, Calif. -- A vegetation fire was reported Sunday afternoon in the Bangor area at Loma Rica Rd. and La Porte Rd. CAL FIRE officials said at 4:30 p.m. that forward progress had been stopped at 3-4 acres. It is called the Loma Fire.

Ground and aerial resources helped to contain the fire. Crews will be on-site for several hours to mop up the scene and to conduct an investigation into how the fire started.
