Major repairs could soon be carried out to a busy Aberdeen city centre bridge owing to its surface leaving cars at risk of damage.

The bridge on Guild Street , which crosses over platforms at the railway station to Market Street , is made up of granite setts which required emergency repairs earlier this summer.

Works last month saw the bus gate measures temporarily lifted while teams worked through the weekend to improve the road's surface.

Now, the city council is planning to alter the bridge's surface following the recent repairs, with designs revealing how it would be transformed.
