A University of New Mexico researcher is taking part in a clinical trial using a synthetic psychedelic, known as the "pro drug," to help patients cope with life-altering events such as terminal illnesses.

The study, called the RE-KINDLE trial, aims to offer new hope to those facing their most difficult moments. Participants receive psychological support alongside the drug.

Those interested in participating can reach out to the University of New Mexico for a free screening to see if they meet the requirements for the study.
