Diana Ross’s Sunday performance closed out the 88th season of the Stern Grove festival on Sunday, and boy she had a lot of great outfits, but she was apparently not happy with the sound. Ross at one point mimicked that she was throwing her microphone in frustration that (she felt) it was not working, and at another point told the crowd, “You are an amazing, amazing audience. My sound group is the pits.” [Chronicle] The 2025-26 school year starts today as students return to San Francisco Unified School District classrooms, and people are optimistic this year will be less chaotic without all the school closure and layoff drama.
