A man has spent five years of his life transforming an isolated Napoleonic island fortress into an extravagant party island venue that feels like it is straight out of James Bond movie.
Mike Conner, 52, a former software engineer, invested more than £2million of his own funds into the historic Grade II building, transforming the defensive structure into a residence and potential business opportunity. In 2017 Mike brought the fort for a mere £555,000 with plans to breathe new life into it after seeing it in a YouTube clip.
