EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Wharton Center is set to host a tribute concert honoring the lives and legacy of Dr. Clifton Wharton Jr., former president of Michigan State University, and Mrs. Dolores Wharton.

The concert honors the Whartons’ contributions to Michigan State University, the arts, and public service.

The performance will feature a curated blend of jazz, classical, Broadway favorites, and more.

Featured artists include Norm Lewis, Broadway star; jazz vocalist Carmen Bradford; and the virtuosic Aaron Diehl Trio.

The event takes place on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 3 p.m. in the Cobb Great Hall.

Admission is free; however, a ticket is required.
