METAIRIE, La. —

A student at East Jefferson High School was injured Monday after an incident at the school.

Jefferson Parish Schools issued a statement that said the student is receiving medical care after an incident at the school and the families involved in the incident were notified. Advertisement

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.

All classes and school operations continued as normal and all families at the school were notified of the incident.

No other information has been provided at this time.
