May 2, 1959 — August 15, 2025 (age 66)

Richard D Port, at the young age of 66, returned to the arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday August 15, 2025. He fought a tremendous battle with cancer, which ended in his home in Tremonton Utah, holding the hand of his eternal companion. He was born in Rupert Idaho on May 2 nd , 1959, and grew up in Burley Idaho. He served an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Birmingham England.

He met Anita Ison while working as a baker in Sanpete County Utah. They were married a short time later in the Jordan River Temple and together raised their family of five children in Wales Utah.

Richard retired from Gunnison State Prison as a Corrections Officer after 27 years of service and moved with Anita to Tremonton, Utah. Her
