SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- It's going to feel like summer again in San Diego as the recent cooling trend turns hot later in the week.

The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat watch for San Diego County mountain and desert areas from 10 a.m. Thursday to 8 p.m. Friday.

Across San Diego County, temperatures on Thursday are forecast to reach highs up to 91 in Escondido, El Cajon and Julian, and up to 95 degrees in Ramona. The San Diego coastline will remain moderate with high temperatures of 78 degrees in Oceanside and in the City of San Diego.
