SCRANTON, Pa. — "Basically lost everything," said David Kujawski.

Emotions were high as he and his family spent Monday morning sifting through what was left of their home after a fire broke out Sunday night in Scranton.

"They had to shut the power for the whole block, I guess. So they had no power," said Kujawski as he recalled what it was like Sunday night. "They basically were out too because they couldn't go in their house; they had the whole street blocked off."

Kujawski and nearly two dozen others were displaced after the fire engulfed a corner business and connecting row homes along Pittston Avenue.

Scranton Fire Chief John Judge told Newswatch 16 that four firefighters were injured and one is still in the hospital.
