The third round of finals for “American Ninja Warrior” air tonight.

“American Ninja Warrior,” season 17, episode 12, airs at 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, on NBC.

The national finals, which have a new format, started on Aug. 4.

The contests feature side-by-side races by the athletes in a bracket-style tournament. The 60 athletes have been split into 15 groups of four, based on their performance in the semifinals.

The athletes will compete in races three times, once against each member of their group. The two with the most wins will compete for the $250,000 grand prize.
