CARLISLE, Ark. — Officials with Arkansas State Police (ASP) have now concluded that the use of deadly force by troopers during a shooting in June 2025 was fully justified under Arkansas law.
According to reports, on June 11, 2025, ASP troopers and officials with the U.S. Marshals were working to apprehend 33-year-old Felipe Millan-Gomez of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Millan-Gomez was wanted in connection to an armed carjacking and kidnapping that happened on June 9, 2025, while in Manistee County, Michigan. He allegedly threatened a woman at gunpoint and forced her to drive, and then later took her vehicle.
Two days later, troopers and Marshals found his vehicle along I-40 eastbound and performed a traffic stop. Once he exited the vehicle, reports say that he got a firearm and pointed it
