The Red Sox begin a weird, rare, two-game series with the Baltimore Orioles on Monday. Before the game, they made several roster moves.
Nathaniel Lowe is the most notable of the bunch, though Rob Refsnyder’s hitting the IL with an injury is significant given the Orioles’ starting pitcher, Trevor Rogers, tonight. Rogers is left-handed and has been excellent this season. He uses a high fastball and low offspeed pitches. It’s not overpowering, but he’s executed consistently and is a difficult at-bat.
The Red Sox will throw Dustin May for the third time this season, coming off an excellent outing against the Astros.
