Florida Republicans stopped selling "Deportation Depot" merchandise related to the state's planned second immigration detention facility after Home Depot objected, a report said.
The Republican Party of Florida had started selling shirts, hats and other items with "The Deport Depot" logo that resembled Home Depot's logo but by Saturday the items were removed, the Miami Herald reported .
Party chairperson Evan Power told the Herald on Friday that the party clears merchandise through lawyers before it goes for sale and that he was confident it was protected by prior case law.
In a statement Monday, a Home Depot spokesperson said they don't allow any organization to use their branding or logo for their commercial purposes.
