JENA, La. (KALB) - After back-to-back trips to the State Semifinals, Jena Football is hungry to take that next step towards a State Title.
“Whenever you finish semifinals two years in a row and lose to the State Champions, it kind of hurts,” Jena senior offensive lineman Kale Parker said. “It gives you motivation for the next season.”
In 2024, the Giants saw their four-year District Championship streak come to an end. That’s one of the goals the team seeks to take back.
“As long as there’s a district championship, we want to be the one,” Jena head coach Jay Roark said. “We want to do that, but that’s not the goal; that’s just a step in the right direction for what we want to accomplish.”
