LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man pleaded not guilty Monday to accessory charges in a north Lincoln shooting .

Donald Handy, 55, waived his preliminary hearing in Lancaster County Court, and the case was sent to district court.

He is charged with two counts of accessory to a felony.

On June 7, LPD said 33-year-old Terique Jackson shot a man and a woman inside a home near 26th and Potter streets.

The victims were hospitalized due to their injuries, police said.

After the shooting, Jackson and another man got into Handy’s vehicle, LPD said.

Jackson laid down on the back floorboard and changed clothes while Handy drove him around for several hours, according to police.

Handy eventually stopped at Bowling Lake, where Jackson burned “several” pieces of clothing, LPD said.
