YOUNGSTOWN State Representative Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) announced funding that will be headed toward Youngstown State University (YSU) for a security camera upgrade.

According to a Monday news release, McNally announced that the Ohio Controlling Board approved $92,000 to install new security cameras across the YSU campus.

Funding for the project was made possible through the Ohio Department of Higher Education.

The upgrade will enhance safety measures and improve monitoring capabilities for students, staff, faculty and visitors.

"Campus safety is a top priority, and these upgrades will help ensure that students and staff feel secure while focusing on their education," said Rep. McNally.
