Just a week after Palm Springs International Airport announced the addition of a new Austin route, officials say another option will be available for customers soon.

American Airlines is launching nonstop service between Palm Springs and Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, Charlotte is the seventh busiest airport in the United States , with around 28.5 million enplanments in 2024, a term used to describe passengers boarding a plane.

Available each Saturday from Dec. 20 to April 18, the route will give customers more options when trying to each the East Coast. Flights are scheduled to leave Charlotte at 9:25 a.m. Eastern Time and arrive in Palm Springs at 11:25 a.m. Pacific Time. The plane will wait for an hour
