The annual Fall Field Day at the Iowa State University Northeast Research and Demonstration Farm will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, west of Nashua.

Terry Basol, extension field agronomist at Iowa State, said the field day will offer helpful insights for Iowa farmers.

“Considering the 2025 growing season so far, the fall field day here at the Northeast Research and Demonstration Farm will help farmers address their crucial thoughts and considerations to prepare for fall operations and decisions.”

To begin the field day, Ethan Thies, an extension conservation field specialist at Iowa State, will present on cover crops, including implementation, species selection, and best management practices.
