A tourist spent the night in one of London's tiniest hotels, claiming it was cheaper than his train fare home. Callum Ryan, 24, from Wandsworth, booked a stay at the Piccadilly Hostel in Piccadilly Circus for a mere £24.

The accommodation offers "phone box" sized pods equipped with just a bed, mirror and charging ports, while shower and toilet facilities are located separately outside the pods. The content creator described the hostel as "perfect" for an affordable overnight stay in central London.

Callum said: "It is actually really sick. And I would 100 per cent definitely go back. Most hotels in that area are upwards of about £180 a night. So you think, you save yourself a fortune. A lot of people in the comment section were like, 'This is cheaper than just getting the train home.
