Re: “ Aboriginal title ruling ” (Aug. 16).

I am of Métis descent, and what is happening with First Nations in Canada is, in my view, unacceptable. It does not make me proud of my heritage to see the way First Nations have been allowed to have temper tantrums and use the stories of mass graves of missing Aboriginal children at residential schools to gain guilt power and receive millions of dollars. Many of these claims were never proven, and yet they traumatized our whole country — and their own people — with stories that were later shown to be exaggerated or unverified.
