As someone who has personally hosted two Ukrainian families fleeing war, I am deeply concerned about the current uncertainty facing approximately 240,000 Ukrainian refugees who legally entered our country through the Uniting for Ukraine program . With so many political distractions and domestic issues dominating headlines, the Ukrainian refugee situation seems to have been placed on the back burner. Yet these families came through proper channels with American sponsors, seeking safety from a devastating conflict that has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives.
