SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) - Happy Tuesday, Utah! Above average temperatures are expected statewide with a ridge of high pressure in control allowing for a warming and drying trend.

Daytime highs will spike today with clear skies allowing for plenty of sunshine and temperatures jumping into the upper 90s along the Wasatch Front, Central Utah, and triple digit heat in parts of eastern and southern Utah. Salt Lake City is forecast to hit 100 degrees, and that would be our seventh triple digit day of the year. Wednesday also promises high heat with triple digits on the table for the Wasatch Front again.
