Iam deeply offended by the opinion column chastising the Democratic Party for criticizing men, (“ The Left should stop harping on men. That drives them to Trump, ” Aug. 10). Men have the power in this world. Both houses of the U.S. Congress are dominated by white men. Men still make more money than women for the same work. Women are still primarily responsible for homemaking and childcare even if working full time, with or without a partner in the home.

Toxic masculinity is a real problem. Ask anybody who’s suffered through an abusive relationship with a male partner. Ask any woman who works with the public or has a bully for a boss.
