Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai's latest project is looking great, with the Kirby Air Riders Direct giving us a 45-minute look at what this upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 title has to offer, and it turns out it's quite a lot.

Where Mario Kart World looked to take the kart racer to new heights with 24 racers, Kirby Air Riders brings it down to just six, focusing on fast-paced, swingy gameplay where first place is never that far from your reach. Arguably more exciting than that though, is the City Trial mode, where you'll be battling it out in an arena to boost your machine's stats as much as possible before heading to the Stadiums for a series of action-packed minigames.
