EL DORADO -- Mrs. John C. White, of Tampa, Fla., today was awarded the custody of her three-year-old son, John White, heir to an estate valued at $500,000, following a habeus corpus hearing before Judge L.S. Britt, of Circuit Court. Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Vandiver, of Smackover near here, were arrested last Saturday on charges of kidnapping the child. Mrs. Vandiver is a sister of Mrs. White. Mrs. Julia F. Craft, of Tampa, mother of Mrs. White, charged during the hearing today that Mrs. White is incompetent to care for the child.
