Home Depot says it will raise some prices because of tariffs

(CNN) – Fixing and remodeling things around your house could get a little more expensive.

Home Depot announced prices on some of its items are likely to go up.

It broke the news in its quarterly earnings results Tuesday.

The nation’s largest home improvement retailer says the Trump administration’s tariffs are having a ripple effect on its products.

Home Depot says just under 50% of its inventory is imported from suppliers outside the United States.

The company says while some products will go up in price, it won’t be broad-based.

The announcement comes after Home Depot said in May that it would not raise prices due to tariffs.
