TROY Aikman sent a strong message over the Dallas Cowboys' contract dispute with star pass rusher Micah Parsons and owner Jerry Jones.
The Cowboys legend made his stance clear during the Monday Night Football preseason game between the Washington Commanders and Cincinnati Bengals on ESPN.
Parsons has continued to seek a long-term contract after he requested a trade last month amid a deal standoff with the Cowboys.
The 26-year-old's rookie contract expires after he plays under his $21.3 million fifth-year option this season.
While Dallas' longtime owner Jones has seemingly remained firm in his contract stance with the defensive end, Aikman thinks Parsons has "leverage" in negotiations.
