COLUMBIA, Miss. (WDAM) - The man accused of shooting at a Columbia patrol car had his first appearance in Columbia Municipal Court on Tuesday morning.

Daniel Chiodini, 32, of St. Louis, Missouri, is charged with attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, burglary of a dwelling, possession of a stolen firearm, and tampering with evidence.

At his initial appearance, Chiodini was denied bond due to the fact that he is considered a flight risk based on previous charges in other states. In North Carolina and Indiana, he was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest.

On Sunday evening, it was reported that Columbia police officers responded to a call on Old Foxworth Road in the city. When officers went to investigate, Chiodini allegedly shot into the driver’s side window and do
