The New York Yankees have been playing Giancarlo Stanton in right field with Aaron Judge serving as the designated hitter while he recovers from a flexor strain.
Judge figures to return to the outfield at some point, but until then, Stanton will see time in the outfield. Stanton played right field last Wednesday, but did not play again until a pinch-hit appearance on Sunday.
His status for the Yankees' two-game series against the Rays was unknown, but Aaron Boone just revealed the team's plans for him during his appearance on "Talkin' Yanks."
"Aaron Boone tells us Giancarlo Stanton will play right field in Tampa (Tuesday), then will sit (Wednesday) night ahead of the Boston series," "Talkin' Yanks" wrote on X.
Stanton is having a great year, slashing .299/.377/.576 with 12 home runs t
