The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a police shooting in the Foothills that left one woman dead.

Officers shot a woman around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday near the Los Altos Loft, located near Eubank and Hotel , according to a news release from APD spokesperson Gilbert Gallegos. The woman was transported to a hospital, where she died of her injuries.
