More housing has been promised for Birmingham as two sections of a University campus are to be sold.
The University of Birmingham has announced plans to sell off sections of its Selly Oak site, including Alan Geale House, Archibald House, The Close, the Refectory and Chapel.
It's said this bring more homes to the city, as well as creating jobs across Birmingham. The land, part of the UoB since 2001, boasts several heritage houses and buildings - all of which are currently vacant.
Erica Conway, Chief Financial Officer at the University of Birmingham , said: “The sale of this land will bring more housing to Birmingham and unlock new opportunities that will create even more jobs and drive growth across the city.
