Sophie Cunningham does not play about her family.

Last week, Sophie’s sister, Lindsey Cunningham, ripped the WNBA after watching her sister’s knee injury that knocked her out of the team’s dramatic win over the Connecticut Sun .

Cunningham got entangled with Sun forward Bria Hartley in the second quarter. Hartley was driving and made a pass to the far corner. As Cunningham tried to help out on defense, Hartley fell forward into the Fever guard’s lower body.

It was immediate pain for Sophie Cunningham, who grabbed her leg. The 29-year-old, who recently celebrated a birthday, clutched her right knee as she fell to the court in visible pain.

More evidence has since suggested that Hartley was purposely targeting Cunningham.
